Players join from their own phone and match everyday gadgets, from tablets to jar openers, to the real-life challenges on screen. It gives a group a relaxed, creative way to talk about the tools that support independence, without putting anyone's confidence or dignity on the spot.
Free 14-day trial. No payment details, nothing to install.
Everyone joins from their own phone or tablet with a single link. Run it with people together in the room or joining from home, with no physical deck to hand round.
It opens up honest conversations about help and support, without questioning anyone's confidence, dignity or feeling of independence.
Every card is a real product and every challenge is drawn from real life, so people often leave having spotted something that could help them or a relative.
You do not need an account. Just enter the code your facilitator gave you.
Gadget Match was made by Socialudo to bring people together to think creatively about technology and the support it can offer in later life. Housing associations, care teams and community groups use it to raise awareness of the gadgets that help people stay independent at home.
It began as a physical card game. This is the online version, so a group can play together from their own devices, whether they are in the same room or joining from home, with nothing to print or carry.
"Board members and colleagues learned lots. Some even came across ideas for new items that could help relatives."
